Hi, I’m Yuridia Garcia

I am a Doula del Utero, a space for womb healing, ritual, postpartum care, and body sovereignty.

I am a postpartum and loss doula, bruja curandera (healer witch) , and bodyworker dedicated to guide and support the restoration of balance of the soul, body, and womb. My work is grounded in Traditional Mexican Medicine and ongoing learning across other Indigenous healing traditions. Through bodywork, herbal wisdom, energy work, ceremonies, and somatic movement, I guide women to feel freer and at home in their bodies, so they can stay connected to who they truly are and to their life path.

Through ritual and womb-centered healing, my offerings open a pathway to more love, connection, and reciprocity with our bodies, the earth, our ancestors, and the generations yet to come.

How did i become a doula?

It's actually quite a long and magical story, but I'll keep it simple.

Since I was very young, I knew very clearly that my life mission was to support people and take care of them. It took me many years to fully understand exactly how I was going to do that, so I explored many different paths such as psychology, social work, PSW, spiritual life coaching, fitness personal training, Naturopathy, etc. None of them quite felt like the right fit, and I carried this feeling of something always missing.

It wasn't until a friend had a baby and mentioned to me that she was planning to hire a doula for her postpartum journey. That moment was my first introduction to what a doula was. As I did my research, I knew this was exactly everything I had been longing to do, I just never knew it existed as a profession.

As I began my journey to become a doula, I remembered a conversation from years ago with a family member who told me my paternal great-grandmother was a midwife and carried ancestral wisdom to care for the women in our village. In that instant, I knew this was the path for me, and I keep falling deeper in love with what being a doula holds: the emotional, the spiritual, and the physical layers of it.

Now I get to do what I was always meant to do: care for women, mothers, babies, and support families through childbirth, postpartum, and loss. I’ve created a practice where I integrate elements of my own personal healing journey, culture, and spiritual beliefs.

In our modern time, mothers are rarely cared for the way our ancestors did: with holistic, preventive care that tends the body, spirit, and community.

It’s time to bring the old ways back to the women who need them most.
