Womb Poultice

“Emplasto para Útero”

In Mexican traditional medicine, the womb is seen as a center of life that naturally runs “warm”. When it gets “too cold” from stress, certain foods, exposure to cold temperatures, or after giving birth, it can feel heavy, tense, or out of balance. This is what's known as a "cold womb" or matriz fría. The old wisdom says that bringing gentle warmth back to the belly helps the whole body feel more at ease. One beautiful way to do this is with an emplasto: a warm herbal poultice made with traditional plants, placed directly on the lower belly.

The emplasto is not a treatment or a cure. It's a simple comforting practice: herbs known for their warm, soothing qualities are prepared and applied to help the body relax and restore its own natural balance. Think of it as a warm hug for your womb.
